Please read this Policy carefully and make sure you understand every clause before you register or sign in. If you are a minor (under 18), please read this Policy under the supervision and guidance of your guardian and with your guardian's consent before using Space View. You acknowledge that by ticking or tapping "Agree", you consent to our handling of your personal information as described in this Policy.

This Policy applies to the Space View WeChat Mini Program and to the Space View app for iOS, Android and HarmonyOS.

This Policy will help you understand:

  1. Definitions and scope of personal information
  2. How we collect and use your personal information
  3. How we store your personal information

  9. How we handle minors' personal information
  10. How your personal information is transferred internationally
  11. How this Policy is updated
  12. How to contact us

1. Definitions and Scope of Personal Information

  1. Personal information: any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person, recorded electronically or by other means, excluding information that has been anonymised. (Specific items of personal information are highlighted in bold in this Policy.)
  2. Sensitive personal information: personal information that, once leaked or used unlawfully, could readily infringe a natural person's dignity or endanger their personal or property safety โ€” including biometric data, religious beliefs, specific identity, medical and health data, financial accounts, whereabouts, and the personal information of minors under 14. (Specific items of sensitive personal information are highlighted in bold and underlined in this Policy.)
  3. Child: a minor under 14 years of age.
  4. De-identification: processing personal information so that it cannot identify a specific natural person without the use of additional information.
  5. Anonymisation: processing personal information so that a specific natural person cannot be identified and the information cannot be restored.

2. How We Collect and Use Your Personal Information

Space View's features fall into three categories:

(a) Personal information collected for core features

1. Completing registration

When you register for Space View, we collect your email address, or your mobile number together with the WeChat authorisation data (encryptedData, iv) in order to create and secure your account. We collect this information so that you can complete registration and so that we can protect your account. If you do not provide it, we cannot create an account for you or provide account-based services.

You may also choose to provide your avatar and nickname to complete your profile or make signing in more convenient. If you choose to upload an avatar, we need access to your device's camera or photo library in order to obtain the image you take or select. Choosing not to provide this information does not affect your normal use of our services.

2. Keeping network access and services secure

We are committed to providing a secure and trustworthy product and environment. To keep the relevant products and services running normally and stably, to identify abnormal accounts, and to protect the safety and lawful interests of you, other users and the public, we collect the following information in order to assess account risk, verify identity, detect and prevent security incidents, and take the necessary recording, auditing, analysis and remediation measures permitted by law:

  1. (1) To secure your account, network access and services: the WeChat authorisation data (encryptedData, iv).
  2. (2) To assess account security, identify unlawful or non-compliant activity, detect and prevent security incidents, perform data analysis and take lawful recording, analysis and remediation measures: your nickname, avatar, gender, device ID, device type, device brand, device model, device orientation, device pixel ratio, system name, operating-system version, host version (WeChat version), host language, host theme, user font-size setting, screen size and device performance tier.
  3. (3) To prevent malicious programs, safeguard service quality and efficiency, and monitor problems: your interaction traces (including tap counts and session times), access dates and times, and service log information.

We may combine the above with information you provide or generate when using our other products or services, in order to process and analyse it, build account profiles and maintain risk-control records. We collect this information to keep your account, your network access and the running of the application secure. Because collection of this data cannot be switched off, we cannot provide our services to you if you do not provide it.

(b) Payment and settlement

When you make a payment in Space View, we collect your order information and transaction status, and we receive confirmation from the payment provider as to whether your payment succeeded. We collect this information to confirm your order status so that we can provide the service, to protect your property and to handle disputes. If you do not agree to this collection, you may be unable to complete payment and therefore unable to purchase paid services such as membership.

On iOS, membership is sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Payment is processed by Apple; we do not receive or store your payment card details. We receive from Apple the transaction identifier, product identifier, purchase and expiry dates and renewal status, which we use to activate and maintain your membership.

If you request an electronic invoice, we collect your email address, order number, amount, invoice title and taxpayer identification number. If you request a paper VAT invoice, we additionally collect the recipient's name, delivery address, contact telephone number and the company's invoicing details. Without this information we cannot issue an invoice, but this does not affect your use of our other services.

(c) Marketing communications

We may send you promotional information about Space View. If you receive such messages, you may unsubscribe using the method stated in the message or by contacting us as described in this Policy. Unsubscribing means we can no longer send you promotional information, but it does not affect your use of our other services.

(d) Customer service

When you make a complaint, suggestion or other enquiry, we may collect our correspondence or call records with you, the account information you provide, the contact details you provide, any information you provide to substantiate the facts, application run logs, and device information (operating-system version, device brand and model, device configuration, carrier type, application information, browser type, CPU, system language, memory, Wi-Fi status, timestamp and region) so that we can contact you, resolve the issue promptly and record how it was handled. Without this information your complaint, suggestion or feedback may not be handled promptly or effectively, but this does not affect your use of our other services.

(e) Data API trial requests

If you apply for a free trial of our data API, we collect the mobile number and company name you enter so that we can contact you. If you decline to provide this information we cannot provide the trial, but this does not affect your use of our other features.

(f) Exceptions to the requirement for consent

Please note that in the following circumstances we may process your personal information without your separate consent, as permitted by law:

Note: under applicable law, information that cannot identify a specific individual either on its own or in combination with other information is not personal information. Where your information can identify you on its own or in combination with other information, or where we combine data not linked to any specific individual with your personal information, we will treat it as your personal information and protect it in accordance with this Policy.

3. How We Store Your Personal Information

  1. We retain your personal information for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes set out in this Policy, unless laws or regulations require otherwise. We determine the retention period primarily by reference to:
    1. (1) ensuring the security and quality of the services we provide to you;
    2. (2) whether you have agreed to a longer retention period;
    3. (3) the limitation periods applicable to legal claims;
    4. (4) any other specific agreement or statutory requirement concerning retention.
    On expiry of that period we will delete or anonymise your personal information.
  2. We provide services within mainland China and worldwide, and your personal information will be stored on the servers required to provide those services. We apply security measures that meet industry standards to protect it.
  3. After you stop using a service, we stop collecting and using your information for that service, except where laws, regulations or regulators require otherwise. Once you have successfully deleted your account, we retain your personal information only for the minimum period required by law; beyond that period we delete or anonymise it.
  4. If we cease operations, we will promptly stop collecting your personal information, notify you individually or by public announcement, and delete or anonymise the personal information we hold. Where deletion or anonymisation is technically difficult, we will cease all processing other than storage and the taking of necessary security measures.

4. How We Share, Transfer and Publicly Disclose Your Personal Information

1. Sharing

You agree that, in order to provide services to you, we may share your personal information with parties that support our features โ€” including providers of infrastructure and technical services, payment services and data processing. Those parties have no right to use your personal information for any purpose other than those set out in this Policy; if they wish to change the purpose of processing, they must obtain your separate consent. We do not currently share your personal information with third parties other than such supporting parties; if we need to, we will seek your consent separately.

2. Transfer

We do not transfer your personal information to any company, organisation or individual, except in the case of a merger, acquisition or bankruptcy liquidation. If a transfer of personal information is involved, we will inform you and require the company or organisation that comes to hold your personal information to remain bound by this Policy; failing that, we will require it to seek your consent again.

3. Public disclosure

We publicly disclose your personal information only with your separate explicit consent, or where required by law or by a lawful request from an administrative or judicial authority.

Where we are required by law or by an administrative or judicial authority to provide your personal information, we may disclose it according to the type of information and manner of disclosure requested. To the extent permitted by law, when we receive such a request we require the corresponding legal document, such as a subpoena or investigation notice. We review every request carefully to confirm that it has a lawful basis and is limited to data that the requesting authority has lawful power to obtain for a specific investigation.

5. How We Use Cookies

  1. When you use the Space View website or app, we store small data files called cookies on your device to make access easier. A cookie typically contains an identifier, the site name and some numbers and characters. Cookies allow the site to remember your sign-in, which spares you from signing in repeatedly.
  2. We do not use cookies for any purpose other than those described in this Policy. You can manage or delete cookies according to your own preferences โ€” see aboutcookies.org for details. You can clear all cookies saved on your computer, and most browsers offer a setting to block cookies. If you do so, however, you will need to change your settings each time you visit, previously recorded information will be deleted, and the security of the services you use may be affected. For details of how to change your browser settings, please refer to your browser's own settings pages.

6. How Third-Party Products or Services May Obtain Your Personal Information

You agree and understand that, in order to provide better services, our products may integrate or connect to third-party services such as SDKs, APIs or embedded web pages. To help you understand the types of third-party services and how they are integrated, please refer to our third-party list.

7. How We Protect Your Personal Information

We attach great importance to the security of users' personal information and apply industry-standard technical and organisational protection measures, such as network isolation, data encryption and access control.

Please be aware that although we take reasonable measures required by law to protect your information, no system or network is absolutely secure. If our physical, technical or organisational safeguards are breached, resulting in unauthorised access, public disclosure, alteration or destruction of information and harm to your lawful rights and interests, we will bear responsibility to the extent provided by law. We will also do our utmost to pursue the legal liability of the party responsible, and we hope you will cooperate with us in doing so.

In the unfortunate event of a personal-information security incident, we will inform you and other affected parties, as required by law, of the basic circumstances and possible impact of the incident, the measures we have taken or will take, recommendations for steps you can take to protect yourself and reduce risk, and the remedies available to you. We will notify you by email, letter, telephone or push notification; where individual notification is impracticable, we will publish an announcement in a reasonable and effective manner. We will also report our handling of the incident to the competent regulators as required.

Our personal-information protection function can be reached at kefu@bincare.cn.

8. How You Can Manage Your Personal Information

We safeguard the following rights in respect of your personal information:

1. Access

You have the right to access your personal information, save for the exceptions provided by law. You can access your personal information in the app under "Mine โ†’ Account Management".

If you wish to access other personal information generated through your use of our features and services, or if you cannot access your personal information yourself, please contact us using the details in this Policy. We will respond within fifteen days of receiving your request.

2. Correction and updating

Where the personal information we hold about you is inaccurate, or where you need to update it, you have the right to have it corrected or updated. You can update your avatar, nickname, email address and mobile number in the app under "Mine โ†’ Account Management".

If you wish to correct or update other personal information, or cannot do so yourself, please contact us using the details in this Policy. We will respond within fifteen days.

3. Deletion

You have the right to ask us to delete your personal information, using the contact details in this Policy, in any of the following circumstances. We will respond within fifteen days:

  1. (1) the purpose of processing has been achieved, can no longer be achieved, or is no longer necessary;
  2. (2) we cease to provide the product or service, or the retention period has expired;
  3. (3) you withdraw your consent;
  4. (4) we have processed personal information in breach of laws, administrative regulations or our agreement with you;
  5. (5) any other circumstance provided for by laws or administrative regulations.

If we decide to act on your deletion request, we will also, as required by law and applicable standards, notify the entities that obtained your personal information from us and require them to delete it promptly, unless the law provides otherwise or those entities have obtained your separate authorisation.

Where a statutory retention period has not expired, or deletion is technically difficult to achieve, we will cease all processing other than storage and the taking of necessary security measures.

4. Changing or withdrawing consent

To change the device permissions you have granted, you can use your device's system settings, or โ€” in the WeChat Mini Program โ€” the "ยทยทยท" menu โ†’ Settings โ†’ information obtained by the Mini Program โ†’ Manage. To withdraw your consent to this Policy, use "Mine โ†’ Account Management โ†’ Withdraw consent to the Terms and Privacy Policy". You may also contact us using the details in this Policy to change the scope of your consent or withdraw it; we will respond within fifteen days.

Please understand that some services require certain permissions and the collection of certain necessary personal information in order to work. When you withdraw consent, we can no longer provide the corresponding service, but this does not affect processing already carried out on the basis of your earlier consent.

5. Deleting your account

You can delete your account yourself in the app under "Mine โ†’ Account Management โ†’ Delete Account". We will process the request within fifteen days. If you have any questions, please contact us using the details in this Policy.

Deleting your account is irreversible. We will stop providing products and services to you, stop collecting your personal information, and delete or anonymise the personal information associated with your account as you request, except where laws, regulations or regulators require otherwise.

6. Obtaining a copy of your personal information

You can obtain a copy of your personal information in the app under "Mine โ†’ Account Management โ†’ Copy of Personal Information".

If you cannot do so yourself, please contact us using the details in this Policy; we will respond within fifteen days.

7. Objecting to automated decisions

In some features, decisions may be made solely by automated means, including information systems and algorithms. Where such a decision significantly affects your lawful rights and interests, you have the right to contact us using the details in this Policy to request an explanation or to object to the automated decision. We will respond within fifteen days.

8. Responding to your requests

To exercise any other statutory right in respect of personal information, please contact us using the details in this Policy; we will respond within fifteen days.

If you are unable to exercise your rights in the ways described above, please contact us using the details in this Policy. For security reasons we may ask you to make your request in writing or to verify your identity by other means before we process it. We will respond within fifteen days of receiving the request.

We do not, as a rule, charge for reasonable requests. For repetitive requests that exceed reasonable limits, we may charge a reasonable cost. We may decline requests that are unreasonably repetitive, require disproportionate technical effort, create risk to the lawful rights of others, or are highly impractical.

If we decline your request, we will tell you why, and you may complain using the contact details in this Policy.

9. Exceptions

We will be unable to respond to your request where:

  1. (1) it relates to our performance of obligations imposed by laws or regulations;

Material changes include, but are not limited to: a significant change in our service model; a change in the main recipients of shared, transferred or publicly disclosed personal information; a material change in your rights in relation to the processing of personal information or in how you exercise them; a change in the department responsible for personal-information security, its contact details or the complaints channel; and a personal-information security impact assessment indicating a high level of risk.
